Sreemoolavsam Wellness Retreat

Sreemoolavasam is a luxury Ayurveda and wellness retreat in Kerala, set within a 450-year-old heritage Tharavadu in Muttom village, near Haripad, Alappuzha. Unlike modern resort-style spas, Sreemoolavasam offers authentic Ayurvedic treatment in Kerala rooted in classical texts, delivered by experienced physicians in an intimate environment of just six cottages.

The retreat integrates Ayurveda with Naturopathy, Yoga, and Satvik nutrition, making it one of the most holistic Ayurveda wellness retreats in Kerala. The property carries deep spiritual significance — it is associated with Sree Narayana Guru, the saint and social reformer who shaped modern Kerala, who visited and stayed here numerous times. Sacred relics used by him are preserved on the premises.

The retreat is also historically linked to an ancient Buddhist centre called Sreemoolavasam, believed to have stood on the southwest coast of Kerala near Thrikkunnapuzha in Alappuzha district, reinforcing the site's deep-rooted connection to healing traditions.
