KERALA MEDICAL JOURNAL (KMJ)

Kerala Medical Journal is an Open open-access journal with Creative Commons licensing, published by the Indian Medical Association – Kerala State Branch (IMA-KSB). The journal is published online and in print form and has 4 issues per year. Articles are selected from original research in clinical medicine, public health, and clinical epidemiology and undergo a strict process of peer review before confirmation. Authors are to pay a publishing fee of Rs. 5000 on acceptance. The publishing fee is partially waived for IMA-KSB lifetime members and medical students. The journal access is fully open online. Aims and Scope To promote and publish original research in all areas of modern medicine To create active discussions and initiate debates on topics of importance in health policy and health decision-making To propagate safe, evidence-based, and ethical practices of modern medicine popularising guidelines for management. Open Access Policy This is an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is by the BOAI definition of open access. Copyright Notice When publishing with Kerala Medical Journal (KMJ), authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. Work includes the material submitted for publication and any other related material submitted to KMJ.
