Travancore Nature History Society (TNHS) is a Non-Governmental Organization established under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act of 1955. The major objective of the organization is to study the Natural History and Biodiversity of the Southern Western Ghats, one of the World’s most interesting Biodiversity Hotspots. The logo of TNHS, Travancore Pied Kingfisher, represents the intense concentration and flawless focus needed to develop a keen insight into Natural History and to address the environmental issues that we are facing day to day.

The motto of the organization ‘Be green, Go green’, clearly expresses the basic concept of being eco-friendly and the urge to observe, study, and protect nature.

Our vision is to ensure a bright green and safe haven for all living beings and our ethics is to follow and spread environment-friendly practices in all the activities we are involved in.
