Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India has been set up with a distinct focus on boosting Software exports from the country.

STPI-Thiruvananthapuram is one of the 11 STPI jurisdictions having its main centre in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala was set up in 1992. STPI-Thiruvananthapuram has been the backbone for the growth of the software and hardware industry in Kerala and Lakshadweep for the last three decades and has enabled Thiruvananthapuram to emerge as one of the leading IT clusters in India. In FY 2020-21, STPI-registered units under STPI-Thiruvananthapuram jurisdiction contributed Rs. 3,486.14 crore software exports.
