LB Architects was founded in 1979 as dePolo/Dunbar by Jack Dunbar and Lydia dePolo, both of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Having joined the firm shortly thereafter, Frank Loffredo and Steven Brooks became sole partners in 1989 after Mr. Dunbar and Ms. dePolo’s retirements. The firm’s work has included major corporations, financial institutions, law firms, technology firms, hotels, showrooms, museums, retail spaces, and private residences.
