Dominic Chacko Kizhakemuri (DC) a writer, intellectual, freedom fighter and entrepreneur was the founder of DC Books. DC started his illustrious career as a teacher before entering the publishing business. He has singlehandedly created the biggest revolution in the Indian publishing industry with the formation of DC Books in 1974. Taking forward the keen intellectual pursuits of DC, the institution was set up in 2002 which revolutionized education in Kerala.

DCSMAT Trivandrum is set amidst a 72-acre expansive plot of KINFRA Film & Video Park, near Trivandrum. The state of the art infrastructure of KINFRA campus is inclusive of an open-air theatre, conference halls and guest houses. The campus has a dedicated power and water supply and advanced communication facilities. It also has food courts, a mini-conference hall, shooting locales, exhibition areas and preview theatres. Being in the vicinity of Technopark and major IT companies, the campus is in the centre of a business environment. KINFRA also has the Ernst & Young offices and a host of top-notch post-production studios. The iconic Sainik School is situated adjacent to the DCSMAT campus.
