Dr. Vijaya Stephen MBBS, MD in Gynae and Obstetrics, D.P.S (Diploma in Pelviscopy from Kiel, Germany).

She passed MBBS in 1965 and took MD in 1972 from Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi. Had Laparoscopy training in Singapore and Bombay in 1982. Started doing Laperoscopy in 1982, the first in Kerala to start Laperoscopy operations. Had advanced laparoscopy training and microsurgery training for Tubal anastomosis operations at the National University Hospital, Singapore in 1984. Had undergone training at Kiel, Germany for advanced laparoscopy and took DPS from Germany in 1998.

Done nearly 20000 laparoscopies, both operative and diagnostic and 10000 and above Hysteroscopies both operative and diagnostic. Trained in Korea for stress incontinence and prolapse operations using trans vaginal tapes and gyne mesh of Johnson and Johnson Company.

Presently she owns a clinic for Gynae and OBS consultation. Have an IVF centre by the name of Dr. Vijaya’s Infertility Centre “ENDO FERT” and an Endoscopy centre for Gynaec Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy.
